An invitation to ease pain, release stress and feel more peaceful
When we have headaches, stiff shoulders or back twinges that are short-lived, there's plenty of help available, and life quickly goes back to normal.
But if you're living with a stressful pattern of recurring pain, it's more complicated.
It can feel as though your life is controlled by this unpredictable thing that knocks you flat whenever it feels like it, usually when you want to be on top form. Nothing seems to directly set it off, but it's worse when you're tense. It saps your energy, your moods are all over the place and your sleep suffers.
If it's not getting better with treatment, and you suspect that the pain is in some way connected to how you feel in yourself, even if it's confusing and you don't know exactly how, I'm here to help.
When we're under stress, our body becomes tense, and over time - years even - this accumulated tension can lead to headaches, back pain or other symptoms, which in turn cause more stress ... a messy loop that can seem impossible to get out of.
Fortunately we are designed to heal.
To guide you through the natural process of healing, I listen carefully to your story, and work hands-on, to gently release old tensions that are blocking your recovery. We focus on relieving and managing your immediate symptoms, while identifying and resolving the deeper stresses that have led to them. As your body recovers from holding all this tension, the pain can ease away and may disappear altogether.
I also run meditation classes for all, lead retreats, and teach a course on Healing from Pain, where you can learn practical skills to help calm your body and ease your mind.
