Just 40 minutes from Cheltenham, this beautiful location is the perfect place to reconnect with ourselves in peaceful surroundings.
Holland House dates from the 17th century and has glorious formal gardens near the house, with informal grounds leading down to the River Avon.
Our meditation space leads out to the gardens, where we practise our walking meditations and enjoy moments of quiet reflection in the breaks. There is a kitchen for making tea and coffee throughout the day, and we bring a vegetarian lunch to share.
Our meditation practices include mindfulness, loving-kindness, visualisations, and opening to deep insight. The day alternates between sitting and walking meditations, with a time for sharing and questions at the end.
This is a silent retreat, so that we can all gain the most from our meditation day together. If you're new to this, please be reassured that in our experience, people soon relax into it and in fact find it a huge relief!
Please feel free to bring cushions, mats and blankets for your comfort. You're welcome to sit on the chairs or on the floor, as you wish.
